What Do I see, factually, objectively?

I see that the Main image is an image of the band Motionless in White. The body language in the image is a triangle which draws our attention to the person at the front who we assume is the main singer. His hands body language suggests that he wants the reader to come closer. He has an angry face expression to portray the genre of the Magazine. The word Kerrang! looks smashed up because it reflects the genre of the magazine. The quote “We Want Your Soul” suggests that that Motionless in White is Like the devil. Most of the Text in the yellow boxes are in italic. This makes them seem like there moving.







What Do I see, factually, objectively?

I see that this the main image is a band as they are the main subject line on this page. I also see that the title of this page is antichrists superstars. This might suggest that they are mostly aimed at people who believe thats theres a devil but not a god. This is also proven by there being a pentagram in the title also shows that they are in the church of satan. The quote “I’m not trying to be a dickbag trying to take your money. I believe in music as a religion” This may suggest that he’s not taking any money like a church would as he believes that playing music is a religion and that’s exactly what he’s doing.

Chosen Brief

Preliminary exercise: using DTP and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally candidates must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.
